It’s taken only eight years for the world’s largest online poker room to reach an amazing milestone – PokerStars is getting set to deal its 40 billionth hand! To celebrate this incredible achievement, PokerStars is celebrating with a special promotion called F40.

There will be cash prizes across all PokerStars cash game tables in the days leading up to the 40 billion Mega Milestone hand. PokerStars Americas Cup of Poker

PokerStars is well known for great poker tournaments and promotions and the America’s Cup of Poker continues this well established tradition.
The PokerStars Americas Cup of Poker is a team event where players that qualify online at PokerStars plus the Team PokerStars Pros will compete for their country at a live event that will be held in Argentina. The live event will have a total prize pool of $250,000 with the winner earning the grand prize of $100,000. The action starts online, where you can help your team qualify for the live final. The eight teams who win qualification through their group will then make it to Argentina to play for the huge cash prize.
The live tournament will take place at a ski resort in Bariloche, situated against the backdrop of the Andes, in the region of Patagonia.
Here are the details:
Players in the following 13 countries have the chance to compete and help their nation make it to the live final: USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Canada, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Venezuela, Peru, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.
If you are in one of these countries, you can play in any of the Americas Cup of Poker daily tournaments. The countries are split up into groups and play against each other week by week. 2009 Main Event Qualifiers at PokerStars

You know it’s time to get ready for the 2009 WSOP* when PokerStars starts rolling out its main event qualifiers.
No online poker room sends more players to the main event than PokerStars. Last year they had over 2,000 players qualify through their WSOP* satellites. Once again, PokerStars knocks it out of the park with another great online poker tournament, the Spring Championship of Online Poker – All Stakes or – SCOOP – All Stakes for short.
SCOOP – All Stakes is 22 events, two a day running from April 2-12 and has a guaranteed prize pool of $30 million dollars.
SCOOP – All Stakes is three tournaments – one for low-stakes players, one for medium-stakes players, and finally one for high-stakes players. The huge prize pool guarantees in each tournament mean that even low-stakes players have the chance to win big.
