NBA Fantasy Risers and Sliders

Check out these excerpts from the latest FanDuel NBA Stock report:

Players on the Upswing:

Pau Gasol – PF – CHI
The Pau Gasol renaissance continues in Chicago. He’s averaging a career high 12 rebounds per game, while his 18.7 points per game is the highest since his 2006-07 campaign with Memphis.  His tear continues, exemplified by a monster 22-point, 20-rebound line against Golden State last week. Gasol’s fantasy stock is soaring into the top-tier range for PF’s, as his FanDuel price is alongside players like Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Chandler Parsons – SF – DAL
After a slow start, it seems that Parsons has found his role for the Mavericks. Since the calendar has turned, he’s averaging 22-5-2 in six games, including a balmy 30 points and seven rebounds against one of the league’s best defenses (Memphis). The only downside comes in the form of a nagging back injury. Parsons missed Saturday’s tilt vs Golden State, and he may sit out a couple more this week. However, fantasy backers can be encouraged by the fact that his shot attempts and field goal percentage have both considerably increased over the past few weeks.

Amar’e Stoudemire – PF – NYK
Somebody has to step up for the reeling, injury-plagued Knicks, and lately it’s been Stoudemire. He’s actually averaging nearly a full complement of starters’ minutes (31 in past ten), which has translated to a serviceable 16 points, seven rebounds and 29 fppg over that span. The production has been somewhat rocky at times, particularly on the second half of back-to-backs. That’s something to keep in mind for DFS purposes, but continue to target Amar’e for a mid-range price when the situation appears favorable.

Robert Covington – SF – PHI
Covington is the latest fantasy commodity to come from Philly’s up-tempo, wide-open offense. He provides the Sixers with much needed three-point shooting ability, which has ultimately secured him a starting role (with 30 minutes per game). Ever since receiving extended playing time, Covington is averaging a steady 29 fppg, and that could realistically become his baseline moving forward.

Players Trending Down

Deron Williams – PG – BKN
D-Will was exceptionally solid to begin the season, and many people documented his fantasy stock ascension. Well, those days have come and gone, as Williams is currently in a rut with a 12-point, seven-assist average in the past five. His 18-point, 10-assist performance at Charlotte on Saturday is encouraging, but it remains to be seen if that production will maintain moving forward. The trade rumors are swirling as well.

Brandon Jennings – PG – DET
Brandon Jennings’ roller coaster of a season continues as we approach another valley in the 2014-15 campaign. His minutes have slowly been reduced (25 over past five), and he’s essentially splitting time at PG with D.J. Augustin. The shortened minutes have translated to a measly five-point and seven-assist average over that span. It’s difficult to consider this volatile option for DFS purposes when he isn’t seeing the playing time.

Lance Stephenson – SG – CHA
Here’s another player dealing with trade rumors, and perhaps a change of scenery would help Stephenson’s fantasy stock. As of now, it’s descending rapidly with a 20 fppg average over the past five games. It appears he doesn’t have an established role within Charlotte’s offense, and the return of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist may be inhibiting his peripheral stats.

FanDuel Player Wins $2 Million

Congratulations to Scott “escot4″ Hanson who was the winner of Sunday’s FanDuel Fantasy Football Challenge and is now $2 million richer. Scott is relatively new to FanDuel as he just started playing on FanDuel this past September. What is amazing is that he’d only spent a total of $35 on FanDuel contests and it was $2 of those dollars that helped him qualify for a seat at the 2014 FFFC. That’s right; he turned $2 into $2 million at FanDuel.

Win $40K Today Playing Fantasy Football

How would you like to win $40,000 playing in a one day Fantasy Football league? That’s just one of the great leagues you can be part of at Fanduel the leader in one day fantasy football leagues.

For a $10 entry fee you can win $40,000 for first place plus the top 9,870 finishers will get paid out.

There are a bunch of different one day leagues happening every Sunday with top prizes of $200,000 with an entry of $25, a $12,000 top prize with an entry fee of only $5.

That’s just a small sample of the games going on today. Plus there are plenty of $1 and $2 leagues to play in.

They payout over $10 million in prize money every week!

Depositing into your Fanduel account is easily done by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Paypal. Plus you get a bonus on top of what you deposit.

For a $10 to $24 deposit, users would receive 30%
For a $25 to $99 deposit, users would receive 45%
For a $100 to $199 deposit, users would receive 60%
For a $200 or greater deposit, users would receive 75%

Playing at Fanduel is incredibly simple. Just follow these quick steps:

Visit FanDuel  to sign up.

Choose a contest – You can start out and play free practice contests or daily fantasy games for as little as $1.

Draft Your Players – All you need to do is stay under the salary cap and watch your chosen players destroy the competition.

Score the most points & win – Once the games start your players accumulate points based on how they perform. If your team racks up more than your rivals on that day or weekend you’ll instantly take home the winnings. No waiting for the season to end.

Personally, I like to play the 50/50 contests. These type of contests award prizes to half of those who participate. For example in a 60 player 50/50, the top 30 finishers get paid out! These are great games for beginners.

With Fanduel you can play anywhere. Join leagues and draft your teams easily from your phone, tablet or computer. Make last minute edits and replacements or track your lineup’s performance wherever you are.
